ANTIQUE VICTORIAN / EDWARDIAN SILK VELVET FULL LENGTH OPERA DUSTER COAT

Sublime vintage coat from my personal collection. Made from sumptuously soft black silk velvet with cream silk lining. Divine silhouette throughout with very unique bishop-like sleeves that have a drape from the back of the elbow down to the cuff.
Hem is higher at the front and lower at the back.

The lining is very delicate and in tatters. Expect it to keep deteriorating as you wear it. Velvet is in excellent condition with a very slight discolouration to the back of the sleeves making the velvet look as though it’s shot with brown. Personally, I’m in love with these “faults”. The way the tattered lining pokes out from the bottom is gorgeous! But there is the option to restore the lining if desired.
